WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA

You can just relax on farm or to visit the surrounding villages and local restaurants in order to enjoy the rich traditional dishes and wines such as Verdicchio, Lacrima di Morro d’Alba and Rosso Piceno. You can also visit some wine producing farms and to test the wine (see Cantine). Sheep cheese, salami and home-made pasta are available at local store.

There are several small and medium size villages rich of history and art but far away from mass tourism including the small towns of Fabriano, Urbino and Gubbio (See Hill Towns).

It is possible to visit several mountain areas and Parks where you can walk on naturalistic paths, to hike on mountain paths or to practice rock climbing. In this area there are many spectacular caves and gorges generated by the effect of the water flow on the calcareous rocks of the surrounding mountains. You can take a refreshing bath on the Sentino river (See Mountains).

You can visit some local Museums including: the Museo della Carta e della Filigrana (Paper and watermark museum) in Fabriano where the artistic paper producing company Milano is located (See Museums); and the Museo dei Bronzi di Cartoceto (equestrian bronze sculpture from the roman era) in the village of Pergola.

It is possible to practice sports such as swimming (a swimming pool is just 4 Kms away from the farm); tennis; horse riding; rock climbing; biking (we can provide you with mountain bikes).

Hot water swimming pool and other services are provided by the San Vittore Terme spa.

One of the best beach of the Adriatic sea is just at one hour and a half from the farm in the Regional Park of Monte Conero near-by the town of Ancona and the famous villages of Numana and Sirolo.
